Lactation Doula Care - 4 hours

Service Description

Lactation Doula support is a unique service offered by Mouths of Babes Lactation Services. Families need postpartum support, specifically from a credentialed professional with breastfeeding expertise. Continue to receive hands-on help to work towards your breastfeeding goals, receive newborn/postpartum assistance & education from a credential professional, help Mom ease into new role of motherhood with extra support and so much more. Customizable to suit the needs of each family. ***Lactation Doula services are available only after an initial in-home consultation has been completed.*** Travel & multiples fees are waived for doula visits. Examples of care that Lactation Doula services may include: - Continued in-person support of your breastfeeding plan, including assistance during on-demand feeding and/or pumping sessions - Assistance with proper breastmilk storage and/or rewarming - Proper cleaning/sanitizing of breast pump parts - Newborn care assistance & education such as diapering, swaddling, bathing, soothing techniques - Postpartum care assistance & education - Breast/nipple comfort care measures - Light housework duties in-between breastfeeding assistance such as dishes, folding laundry, general tidying - Caring for newborn while Mom showers or naps - Guided prayer and/or relaxation techniques Lactation Doula services DO NOT include: - Written reports to physicians regarding care given during Doula visit(s) - Breastfeeding supplies normally included in consultations - Baby scale use / weighed feedings - Moderate to heavy housework such as vacuuming, mopping, cooking, bathroom cleaning - Babysitting of other children - Babysitting of newborn while Mom is off premises - Running errands - Accompanying mom and baby with out of the house errands/appointments - Overnight care - Text messaging support (unlike consultation services) Please see full description & policies regarding lactation doula care under our FAQs & Policies page. Cancellation Policy
